Globus Certificate Service: Request a User Certificate

Follow the steps below to generate a service certificate:

  1. Read the Globus Certificate Service disclaimer.
  2. Install the the Globus Certificate Service setup package
  3. Run the Globus grid-cert-request program:

    grid-cert-request

This will generate a certificate request, which will be stored in the file $HOME/.globus/usercert_request.pem. This command may also generate a message instructing you to email the certificate request; that message should be ignored, as you will be uploading the request using this form instead.

  4. Fill in and submit the following form to upload your certificate request. If all goes well, you should get your certificate back for downloading.
  5. Once you have your certificate downloaded, please see the GCS Debugging section for suggestions on verifying your certificate and debugging help.

Upload certificate request from file:

OR

Paste the certificate request text in the box below. You must include the entire contents of the usercert.pem file generated when you ran grid-cert-request
